Happy Friday!

For those that are curious, I wore my HRM yesterday while cleaning the house and burned 223 calories in 1 hour. My average HR was 100. It was mostly vacuuming and mopping. I forgot to wear it to the gym though!

Yesterday just did elliptical for 45 minutes. I'm still having stomach cramps (since my illness a week ago Tuesday), so my workouts have suffered a bit. I never liked yogurt, but I tried some soy yogurt last night and it didn't have that funky smell to it - so I'm going to try yogurt for a few days to see if that settles everything down. If I'm not better by Sunday, I go to the doctor. If I have a food allergy (like wheat, soy, or milk), I will cry. I'm already a picky vegetarian.

Have a great weekend!

Mary

Today is Intermediate Yoga with our buddy Rodney Yee.

Also, I'm making a walk to the store, so that will total about 40 minutes.

So, counting my hour of vigorous cleaning as cardio on Sundays is OK? I've been doing it as incentive to actually clean.

Mary, Here's hoping there's no allergy going on. I had a similar "stomach-ey" bug a while back, and it took forever for my gut to feel normal again. Losing a grain is very, very sad. I hope you don't have to.:flowerforyou:
  • Good Morning Everybody... I did my 45 min cardio and about 15 min of upper body weight training today... now I am on my way to work where I will spend the next 8 hrs on my feet walking... does that count toward exercise?...

Also My weigh in was today and I lost 1 lbs... I also did measurements and lost 8 inches over my entire body... I really must be building a lot of muscle... lol... all in all it was a good week at MFP and I am going to stick around for the other 99 to come off...

Have a great weekend everyone and I hope you feel better Mary

Great job, Jenn! That's great news.

Didn't get much of a workout in yesterday except for a 40 minute walk, but I want to make up for it today. My goals are:

    1. 30 minute swim, 30 minute bike, 30 minute strength or yoga
    2. Eat mindfully and slowly
    3. Take my vitamins and drink green tea

Does anyone else feel that they've lost the desire to drink? Usually when the weekend comes around I'm ready to rage, but now I feel great just having one or two drinks every few weeks instead of every weekend. I love feeling healthy. Have a great Friday!

Well decided to have a lie in this morning as the kids are still off school and tomorrow I will be up early to work out (not sure what yet) I was going to have an easy day and bake cupcakes for birthday party tomorrow still got sandwiches to make yet and house to tidy party is at 11am so not much time tomorrow.

I went for a walk as usual and my plans all went out the window when the postman came Dance dance revolution was released today and ours arrived in the post we have spent about 4 hours so far playing on it what a gr8 laugh and boy are my legs aching I am pretty bad at it but hey who cares. My Stepometer is now reading 25000 it ws on 8000 when I started so that has got to count as exercise.

Going to go and collect my daughters present now she is getting a battery powered jeep I can't wait to see her face in the morning.

    Have a good weekend all.

Good afternoon all! Woke up to yet MORE SNOW here in New York! Enough already....I could just cry:cry:

I did my Biggest Loser 30 minute sculpt and 30 minute Cardio today. I need to find another DVD that I like. Been doing the BL for 11 weeks now. I love the results, but the boredom is creeping in.

    Everyone have a great weekend!:flowerforyou:

Jenn, if you selected a low daily activity level for your BMR, then absolutely count your work as exercise!

I was finally able to survive 60 min of aerobic/resistance work today. Managed to get in both my lifts this week even with the crud. I have my appetite back under control. Funny how hungry I was even though I couldn't exercise... :noway:

Mary, hang in there. Prayers are with you for speedy recovery & diagnosis. A lot of stomachey bugs this year, so maybe that's it.

Well, I'm a bit discouraged for my Monday weigh in & end of the month progress pics. I hope this week didn't sabotage me. I have gone one week without looking in my full length mirror. Funny how I don't miss it. I thought it would be harder than this. Hmm, maybe my self image is so poor from being sick I don't want to see myself. Either way, I did it!

Great job this week! Keep it up :drinker:
