I just changed my profile from sedentary level and 2 pds. a week weight loss to moderate sedentary level to 1.5 pds. a week weight loss. That brought my calorie intake from 1200-1350.

Has anyone else made a change like this?
I am nervous that my body will be shocked at the difference and I won't lose weight..........YIKES.
I am aware that my body might take some time to get used to this and thats o.k.

Just need to know this is o.k.!!!!! :ohwell:

150 calories won't shock your body, at least I doubt it. It's not enough. Every person is different, but I would doubt it.

I think it depends on your body...I am supposed to stick to 1200 if I dont work out but I find that even if I work out and go too high over the 1200 I don't lose. So I try to keep mine between 1200 & 1300 everyday whether I work out or not. Maybe you should try the higher calories for a week and see what happens...good luck!

I lost a little then plateaued. On advice of others here, I started eating my normal cals PLUS my exercise cals. I blew right through that plateau. In fact, today I lost my 15th pound!!! YAY!

I upped my calories recently because I wasn't losing much weight anymore. I think my metabolism has speeded up with almost 4 months of great exercise and my body isn't getting enough calories. This is my first week of the 200 cal increase, though, so I don't know if it is working or not.... If you are working out a lot more than your body may definitely need the extra cals and a lot more water.
  • Yeah. I switched from light to active because of my new job at McDonald's and all the biking I do getting there... went up to 1540 calories per day. I'm not losing weight at the moment, but my pants aren't fitting either.
