adding exercise

I have already taken my exercise regimen into consideration with my calorie settings under goals. Yet when I add an exercise, it adds 600 calories to my goal for the day. How do I stop this? should I stop adding exercise?

Thanks,

Dr. S.

I assume you are using MFP to set your goals?

You need to eat your exercise calories to lose weight in a controlled way. If you don't your body could go into starvation mode. Just record what you eat and your exercise and you will be good.

But she's already accounted for her exercise in her activity level.

To the OP - if you account for it in your activity level, you shouldn't enter it under cardio. You can put it in the notes if you want to keep track.

When I was losing, that's what I did.

MacMadame, that's exactly right, I have already accountsd for it in my goal settings. So I guess I will stop adding exercise sessions as it throws everything off.

By the way, for the record, I am a "he", not a "she".

    :)

    Thanks,
