OK, so what do I wear? Weather will be -5ish. 30K run. I was planning on wearing a base layer then shirt and pants with a running jacket that can be later turn into a pouch that I strap around my waist. Is this too much? Oh and also a beanie.

My rule of thumb is to dress as if it is 20 degrees warmer than it actually is. After the first mile you are warm.0

What have you been wearing to train?
-5C you'll probably want gloves, but that's a personal preference.
I'd be wearing warm weather tights, a long sports bra/top with a long sleeve wicking layer and then a warm but lightweight long sleeve micro-fleece layer over top. It depends how much it's expected to warm up while you're running... 30k will take quite a while. The difference in temp at the start and finish may be significant.
I started a run in -3C this morning and didn't need a hat.0
