How do i Use FITBIT one if i have MFP set to TDEE amount?

Hi i just got a fitbit about four days ago. The TDEE-500 method calculated me at 1850 calories a day. (light activity) which is what i use for MFP.

i got the fitbit to see if my activity or estimated calories burned was in fact accurate. how do i do this and keep MFP set at 1850...

i tried to sync the two (fitness pal and fitbit.) but fitbit kept adding calories to my (set) 1850. so i unconnected it...

thanks for your help...

Holli

so far with fitbit
day 1 2300
day2 2800
day three 2150
day 4 2700
day 5 2100

I don't use the FITBIT so I'm kinda making this up so keep that in mind. :) If you want to keep the fitbit connected you will probably have to do the 'math' yourself or go in and manually override the calories burned to '1'. Seems that if you did not override the calories burned then it could be used to make sure you do not go below your BMR.

I dunno how others do it, but I just set my calorie and macros targets and ignore the whole net calories thing.

Since you have the fitbit linked with MFP, your macros targets will change with the fit bit adjustment so you need to keep in mind what your actual macros targets are. Same thing with any exercise where you log more than 1 calorie on MFP.
I log my calories burned from my HRM just for my information and of course MFP increases my calories and macros when you do that so on some days my net is really really low or even in the negative if I am super active and workout.
