This might sound weird but I am planning to go a month without alcohol. Anyone want to join me? Today is day 3 for me and I'm lonely.

I am totally down! I refuse to drink any alcohol until I'm down to my goal weight.
    Especially beer.

I can't give it up for too long but I haven't had any alcohol for about a week now...and I have one more Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade in the fridge! I only drink if I have extra calories and won't have annnny red numbers. Not anytime soon! I like how I'm eating.

Good luck! I don't drink at all - I quit 2 years ago, but I wanted to say not to be surprised if you start craving sweets in place of the alcohol. When I cut out alcohol completely, my sweet tooth grew enormous! Alcohol is made from sugar, and most alcoholic drinks have residual sugar in them, so your body is used to getting a little sugar fix with every drink.

Stay strong, and eat a piece of fruit! :)

I have accidentally (oc not accidentally, more subconciously) taken myself off drik, and havent had any for about A month actually, so I too will join you. It isnt really a big deal for me, I know that alcohol slows the metabolism so It does more damage than just a hi cal injection into your diet, you burn less of your other calories!

I hope to hit a specific weight target exactly 1 month today, so I will join you in your quest!

Alcohol is something I think about a lot. For some people they can take or leave it, with me i think i may use it to relax at weekends or with friends but i really want to stop for a while as i have recenty quit smoking again and think it might hinder my progress if i drink. So i want to join you to but have two parties to go to this weekend that involve live music BBQ's and Beer so I may have to postpone it.
I have worked hard to remove all the rubbish that I put into my body and I see alcohol as the 'last hurdle' but I also like to think that everybody needs some enjoyment in life. What's the point of looking fantastic if you're a robot lol

i dont really drink any more. i went through the stage in my teens when i was out fri, sat and sun nites and drunk unable to stand up most of them. i got my frist car at 18 and realized that alcohol did bad things to my body=empty calories! as well as saving loads of calories ive saved loads of money-nites out are so cheap now and no hangover yeay! dont get me wrong its my birthday next monday and i will be having a small glass of red (with a nice dinner)which is my absolute fave and my soon to be husband opened a bottle of red the other nite and i had half a glass but thats it half a glass about once maybe twice a month. you do get used to it after a while.

Day 5 going without for me. Starting to yearn for a relaxing glass of wine on the weekend. :blushing:
