Impatiently losing

Hello everyone,

So I have to say I am very impatient with my weight loss and this is always my problem when I try to lose weight. So far It's been about three weeks since I set my goal weight and so far I've lost 2 lbs. I still have about 40 to go. Even though I'm really happy to see results I get a little discouraged and impatient when I think of how much more I have to go. Does anyone have any advice?

2lbs for three weeks is a good healthy pace of weight loss. you didn't put the extra weight on overnight, and it's not going to come off overnight either. patience IS KEY :) its taken me months to lose 7 lbs.

Open your diary. Give people your stats: (height, weight, age, etc.) And watch the influx of information come right at you.

For me, I have to set small realistic goals. Dont over do it because you will burn out, and hit a brick wall. For example....writing down that you will lose 5 lbs in a month is a good start. Or just slowly changing what you eat. Different things work for different people. I have to do things slowly or I will give up. Ive lost 40 lbs total but it took me twice as long as someone else could do it. It took me 7 months (Im still not done). But it worked for me. You have to be patient. Eat right, work out and your body will follow suit. I get discourage from time to time (Its depressing that Im still wearing the same size pants and im down 40 lbs) but stick in there, I promise nothing thats worth working for is going to be easy. Reward yourself when you lose a certain amount (shoes, clothes, etc...) Look at how far youve come vs how far you have to go :)
