130 days of healthy living

That's my goal. 1 day in, 130 to go. I'm focusing on getting 1 hour of mild exercise and taking in 1200 calories 5 out of every 6 days for the next few months. Sticking to that plan through spring and summer will get me healthier, stronger and happier. I miss being that woman!

I'm 33 and put on 20 pounds in the last two years. My negative patterns include emotional eating, evening bingeing and choosinge easy processed foods over preparing meals. My positive patterns include being creative in how I get exercise in, being a health concious vegetarian and framing my weight loss goal in a HEALTHY way.

I'd llike encouragement and support, particularly from people looking to lose 15-30 pounds through making healthy choices. I don't know how to "friend" people on this site but please feel free to add me, or whatever the MFP lingo is. :)

I'll add a photo later. I'm a size 10-12 with a size 6 goal. I have low energy and get tired sooo easily lately. My goal is to be energized, strong and capable. I want to love the body I'm in and I'm on the path to earning that. Send prayers, karma, support, kinds words, tips... all positive input is welcomed!

[ If you are wondering about day 132... well, I haven't gotten there yet. This is me breaking change into chunks, not thinking a fw months of weight loss and then resuming old patterns.]

Congrats! I'm on a similar road as you, and I eat mostly vegetarian meals. My goal is about 15 lbs down from where I am now, and I'm a size 10-12 too- I'd love to be a size 6! You can definitely add me as a friend! My food journal is open to my friends so feel free to take a look!

Your goal is wonderful, but seems very strict with the numbers! I'd urge you to be adaptable if the 1200 number is too hard to stick to. It's taken me years to find what works best for my body, and going too low on calories makes me really tired and unable to work out as hard as I want to.

Personally I give myself a range (1200-1500) and on Friday and/or Saturday I allow myself up to 1800 (usually parties/eating out). My weekly average is usually around 1500, which is my perfect sweet spot for losing ~2 lbs a week with 7-8 hours a week of exercise. That's just what works for me, but the key is allowing myself flexibility and not setting any hard-and-fast rules! It's taken forever to shed that all-or-nothing mentality. Still a work in progress!
