Hi everyone! My main problem is withstanding the foods I love to eat. I can't stop myself, I ignore all my efforts to lose weight when ı wannna eat them. So, my efforts like exercises, restrictions for just 5 days, etc come to naught. Which ways do you use to limit your eating? I really need help about it.

i incorporate things like that into my diet. some things i just dont see as an option (like cookies, potato chips) cause i want to eat them as a meal.
but things like peanut butter that i usually would overdo, i just put it in my morning oatmeal. helps keep me full longer.0 -
For food I really can't resist (I am looking at you, chocolate!) I find healthy ways of incorporating them into my meal plans. Instead of buying a candy bar I will just budget for a few small pieces of dark chocolate in my daily meal plan for dessert each night. I love peanut butter and jelly but I am not a fan of eating bread (too many calories without a high enough nutritional payoff for me) so I add PB2 and fresh strawberries to nonfat yogurt and it satisfies my desire for that specific taste. If it is something you love so much that going without will become a deprivation trigger I really think moderation and healthy alternatives are key.0

I don't really limit myself from anything. I just eat smaller portions. (I'm looking at you, McDonald's that can actually be eaten with just the sandwich, no fries, and water!)0

I don't do well on restrictive plans, so I eat what I want within my calorie goal and try to hit my macros. Weight loss doesn't have to be complicated and it doesn't have to feel like penance.0

Personally, I feel that the stress from deprivation of pleasure is pointless. You gotta figure out how to fit the foods you enjoy into your diet, or you will not be able to sustain.
Check my diary and see how much yummy food I enjoy, without guilt, and while getting healthier.0 -
I eat everything I love. I just keep it in my calorie goals.
Pizza, Taco Bell, burgers, IHOP, whatever.
Not allowing yourself to have foods you desire is one of the main reasons people yoyo diet. You can only deny your desires so long.0 -
