body fat % calc - too low?

hey,
today i tried calculating my body fat % so i could monitor fat loss. i used the fat2fit military calculator because i have heard this is the most accurate however it appears way too low to me.
my stats are
female
weight - 113 lbs
height - 163 cm
neck - 13.5 inches
waist - 25.5 inches
hips - 34.5 inches

it comes out at 17.3% and women with this percentage appear incredibly ripped in the photos i have seen.
can someone please help me find a more accurate calculator or suggest a mistake i made if there is any?
thankyou!!

I did all three calculators and averaged them together. Otherwise, I don't fit into any examples of my results either.

All I can think of is that you could check where you are supposed to take your measurements. Some require narrowest part of the waist while others are bellybutton etc.

Some calculators give you really low results I find. You could try a couple others maybe and just average them

How "ripped" someone looks also depends on the amount of muscle they have and hydration levels.

These women both have 15% body fat. One has a lot of muscle and has probably been carb depleted and somewhat dehydrated for a competition. The other has a lower amount of muscle.

This. You just don't have as much muscle.

This thread is helpful. I just calculated my bf% for the first time in a loooong time and was suprised at how low it was! I measured twice. Good to know, that once Istart hitting those weights hard, it shouldn't be toooo hard to get results...and explains why I havent lost weight as fast as I'd hope.

thank you! I had lost 4 more but gained it back in a weekend though I know its just water.. hopefully I am down again next week. I had to hide my scale.

my BF% says I have about 40 pounds of fat on my body the rest is lean muscle. Do you think its unrealistic to lose another 30 pounds?? I mean That's what I originally wanted my goal weight to be, but I don't see, if the BF% is accurate how that would work?! Sorry I'm not trying to thread jack :embarassed:

I have the opposite problem with those sites. It always comes back that I'm like 36% BF. I'm no goddess, but there's not way my bf can be that high! Or maybe I'm in denial :ohwell:

    EDIT:

I forgot to put female instead of male.. that fat2fit seems to match the one that I use http://www.skinbodyfitness.com/bmr_bmi_bfp.htm

For your stats, it said 17.4%
