Half Marathon In 10 Weeks

So i thought i would follow a training programme for the next 10 weeks and enter the local Half Marathon.
I only started running a month ago - before this i would get shin splints just from walking. I think i have done well to be able to run for 8km and not stop
I have been doing about 3-4 runs a week (pushing the kids in the Buggy - 25kgs (55lbs). The longest run I've done do far is 8km in 50 mins. I wont be doing the Half with the pram so i'm assuming i would be faster without.
I have noticed i will get a stitch when i go out running without the Buggy I guess I'm breathing differently?
Also i get the feeling my legs are really heavy but I'm not puffing and can't go any faster like my heart rate is just normal... Surely this can't be right.. Shouldn't i be puffing?
Any ideas or helpful tips? Thanks

When I do a lot of training with the stroller and then go out for a solo run I end up with terrible back pain because my posture is so different. A gait analysis might help. How much faster do you run without the stroller? Maybe you need to slow a bit to get used to it. And since you are going to be running without it, try to do your long runs without it to get used to it in training.0

I think the last run was 5 - 10 mins faster. Thanks i will keep that in mind as the longer runs are on the weekends i can get the other half to mind the kids0
