Ladies... do you overeat ...

I get awful cravings and feel like a bottomless pit when I have PMS. I tend to want the rich, salty stuff, too. Cheese, crackers, potato chips, fries, etc. I'm good at work since I bring the same foods with me for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, but I have to be really careful as soon as I get home or I'll eat everything in sight.
I have read, albeit from unsubstantiated sources, that our bodies actually need about 100 extra calories per day around that time. Anyone else know if that's true?0 -
I find the stress of having it is what makes me want to binge, interestingly. But a lot of people do seem to have the hormonal problems. You're not alone in this.0

I tend to want to overeat, but you have to keep that under control. Have an extra something, but dont go crazy. It tends to help the bloating and sluggishness when you DON'T overdo it.0

Oh, I ONLY weight myself the week after when I know all the bloating is gone, gone, gone.0
-
Thanks, now I gotta come back from four bad days.0

Awesome... I suppose when u need a special diet for other health reasons it can make it easier (harder?) to eat healthy. It was suggested a long time ago that I watch certain foods for y migraines and IC, but between the two conditions, I'd never eat anything! But I definitely feel better with lots of hard cardio! Good luck with your diet.0

OMG! That SO happens to me. I try healthy, then end up eating the treat anyway!0

ohhh today is going to be one of those day hahahahaha
but during TOM. i'm pretty sure every girl eats worst, there may be discrepancies, but its just how it goes, make up for it when you arent going to murder your husband. =] tis what i do.0 -
Yes, I overeat at 2 main times. One, that time of the month. And two, when unders stress. I think that one week is a big contributor to why I cannot lose this stubborn 25 pounds I gained. And not only that, but I rationalize with myself and tell myself I somehow "earned" the ability to eat like crap during these times. I can rationalize all I want, but that won't help the weight come off. =-)0

my appetite increases on CD 21-23 which is the week before my period. I use a period tracker app so I know what is going on with my body at any given time during the month. I highly recommend it!0

I get real bad cramps, so I can't overeat or it hurts more, but I certainly have tons of cravings for all the foods we shouldn't be eating. That time of the month is Always the hardest on my willpower. Just remember, it is okay to indulge slightly, as long as you are keeping track of it and making up for it the rest of the day. Keep your calorie goal on track. You don't have to deprive yourself of all those delicous foods, just small amounts or compensate for it. And if you overeat (which I have issues with myself), try to make sure it's something low cal and healthy. It's not so bad to overeat a big old salad, or homemade dish. I have found alot of delicious low-cal recipes on thegraciouspantry.com where I can eat a lot (probably overeat), and still stay within my calorie goal.0

Yep, some months...others not so much. And same with water fluctuation, but I have an IUD, and my hormones are wacky on it...this month, darn sweet tart jelly beans.... I went up three lbs water wise two weeks ago, it's slowly dropping back down...these months are hard, bc I know what and why it is happening, but.....0

I definitely tend to overeat right before I start my period. I feel like nothing fills me up and I just eat and eat and eat. I have to really pay attention to what I'm eating and make sure that I'm staying below my calories around that week otherwise I just go crazy.0

Yes....right before TOM (time of the month), I eat like it's an olympic sport. My husband calls it "eating the house down" - a co-worker and I call it getting a case of "the eats". Just try to be aware of it, and it really is one of those times where you have to make sure you have plenty of "friendly foods" to eat in the house. There have been occasions where I've overeaten and still lost because the better quality of food you eat, the more of it you can have.
Ugh....TOM.....Ugh.....0
