Strapless HRM?

Options
Anyone recommend a good HRM without a strap? I'm thinking of getting one to track my training days.

I use the Polar Ft7 it has a strap but you do not notice it, I looked into strapless models and never found one that people said was reliable. Me and my wife both use Polar, they are very good. Good luck.

It's not available yet, but I've personally pre-ordered the Amiigo (https://www.facebook.com/GoAmiigo?ref=ts&fref=ts) and there is also the Basis Band, although that is a general activity monitor and won't be great as an exercise HRM. Strapless HRMs are a new technology, and it's yet to be seen whether they'll be reliable. But still, I'm geeking out about the Amiigo!

I picked up a strapless New Balance one from Target for $50. It works well for me for now. I didn't want to make a bigger investment on a high quality strap one until I made fitness a habit. I know the strapless ones aren't as accurate but they are WAY better than guessing your burn or using the numbers MFP gives you.

The Mio ALPHA? Comes the closest, miss. Problem is? It seems to be more of a prototype/proof of concept for innovators and early adopters of things to come, in terms of function and features. Its actually available to buy unlike the Amiigo, and who knows when that'll be out.

I would say, its not ready for prime time.

Also, it seems the mainstays who make HRM's have little to no interest in making such devices. Polar should have been atop this in half-a-minute, or so it seems. I wonder why they haven't developed one.

I've got the polar ft4 and love it! It has a strap but is not noticeable at all! Goes right under the base of my sports bra

What about the Bodymedifit. It's not a HRM but is supposed to be more than 90% accurate. It is designed to be worn all day.
