An already discussed question.... P90X vs Insanity?

Want to throw a question out to the MFP community that has probably been discussed numerous times. P90X vs Insanity. I used to be in really good shape, but now I still have a lot of muscle mass, but have some unwanted layers. I wanted to know what people thought about what would be best to keep the muscle mass I have while shedding the loose energy from my midsection.
One area of concern for me is I had a knee injury while snowboarding when I was in the military and while I was able to do P90X with it, would it be an issue when doing Insanity?
I look forward to hear from anybody with your thoughts.

Hey,
I haven't done P90X, but would like to. I have done Insanity (got my T-shirt) . Insanity is a great workout, , but when I was done, I felt that while I lost weight and looked better, I didn't get any defining muscle, so I think it would do what you want, however, as a mid 40's guy who was also in the military long ago, it was definitely tough on my knees some. I think you could do it, you would just need to take it easy some. Hope that helps.0
