Does it matter if you're inside or outside?

This is probably the most stupid question ever asked, but it's really bothering me to not know the answer! We have a small gym in a big hall next to our house, where we have a bench and weights. But since I live in Finland, we have winter atm (spring is on its way, but it takes a long time before the snow starts melting) and a couple of degrees celsius below zero every day. The worst part is over, though, hopefully it won't get as cold as -25 degrees C anymore! But yeah, that wasn't the point.

The point is, does it matter if I work out in the hall, where it's cold, instead of inside where it's warm? It's so weird because I almost don't sweat at all when I'm outside, although I'm working just as hard as inside, where I sweat so much more during the same workouts! I have never lifted weight inside, though, but I'm guessing that would get pretty sweaty as well. Does the temperature matter?

I would think its better working where its warm because you sweat more. And also, at our gym, there are tips and says working out where its cold too much can lead to health issues. Go for the warm! :D

I think you'd be fine working out in the hall, as long as you do something to warm up your muscles first--jog in place, skip rope, whatever. Plenty of people exert themselves in the cold with no ill effects--think winter sports.

By the way, I lived in Finland from last August-January--and ran outside in some of that -25C weather. Was very happy the place we lived had a sauna!

i dont like working out in the cold because i tend to overdo it since i am not sweating i think i am not working hard enough. So i end up pushing myself too hard and i get hurt
