I'm getting more adventurous now that I'm vegan. I like hemp milk on my cereal. I'm noticing hemp is so much more than I ever thought it could be.....

In my late teens I was at the Hash Bash at U of Michigan every year protesting with all my fellow hippies. I knew Hemp was great for clothes and paper and non-food things.(besides brownies:laugh:  ) Not to mention a good pain killer and cancer drug and so much more.

After going off gluten, hemp has been recommended by our dietician and doctor as flour, seeds, and milk.

The milk is good, seeds....not so much to my liking. I'm reluctant to try the flour because I'm not much of a baker anyway, so I'd like to hear your opinions.

I litterally busted out laughing when my daughters dietician said to make brownies with hemp flour. I know its a little immature, but I did always want to be the cool hippy mom. Just didn't think it would ever actually happen. (Yes I know there is a difference between the 2 types of brownies, I'm just eternally immature)

Anyhoo, what do you think about hemp flour and the millions of other possibilities with this amazing plant?

I actually had a bar that had hemp oil in it as the omega 3. It was pretty good.

I haven't eaten anything hemp related except hemp milk (and being straight edge for many years...I never did anything illegial with it, lol). I'd like to know your experiances with it though.
  • I'm putting the flour on my grocery list and I'll keep you posted.

The seeds were not good IMO. They tasted like grass. Pardon the pun, lol.

I eat Hemp Seed Granola on occasion that I get from Trader Joe's. I sprinkle on my Fage and strawberries. They were toasted and were quite good.

Oooh, thanks. I'm going to see if I can find them anywhere near me. The tortilla chips look great.

Maybe it was because they were raw that I didn't like them. I'll have to try it again toasted.

Yay! I can get these products with in the tri county area! There is a store about 20 miles away, I'll have to make a day of it. Thanks I'm going to have to check that out!!!!

Tortilla chips would be great since I can't have corn anymore. This has me all excited!

Hemp is actually very beneficial to the skin. (Tanning defeats its purpose tho, lol)

I'm an esthetician and I'm considering some of the hemp product lines. I've been using hemp shower gel and I love it!
