Implant and the contraceptive pill... please help ladies

Hi, I've been losing 1 lb a week for 11 weeks so far but in the last two weeks I've not lost, in fact I gained 1 lb.
For the last two weeks I've had pretty much a constant period with only 2 days off. Will the be the reason for the weight gain? Is it water?
I have the implant and have had it for 2 years now, I uses to take a contraceptive pill as well to help control the bleeding but my docs says I'm not allowed to take this pill anymore because I get migraines and it dangerous for people who get these. I'm now on another pill which is safer but it hasn't helped my frequent periods, (I think it may have made it worse actually)

btw way I'm def not pregnant.

Do you think if I can get my periods back to normal I will lose the 3lb and be back on track?
I'm just worried because I wanted to lose another 6lb before my holiday which I was on track for but now I still have 6 lb to lose and only 4 weeks to do it in.... :(

that sounds really dangerous. I never heard of anyone taking 2 birth controls at once.

But for your question, it definitely sounds like water. In fact it's common to hold much more water than that.

Thats how I was with the implant after 2 years. I got put on the pill also towards the end of my implants "shelf life" but it was a nightmare. I ended up getting the implant out and getting the coil. It was sore to get but ten times better than the implant and pill. I dont feel bloated and get no periods and certainly helps more with weight loss as I feel the implant makes you gain weight and crave sugar more.

Maybe speak to your nurse or doc about other birth control options?

appenrely its common to take both the pill and impalnt, they can complent eash other.
  • I've got the implant and it stopped my periods.. It's strange to see the differences..
I wouldn't take 2 birth controls at once either, that sounds like hormone central. There are other ways to control your periods than the pill.
