How long after you eat do you exercise? Just curious what people think.

In general I wait an hour. If I eat something big I'll wait two. There's nothing worse than burping up breakfast in the middle of a workout  It tasted good the first time, I don't want seconds.

I've always found that I seem to do better excercising before I eat. If it's been quite awhile since you ate, try to eat something pretty light about an hr or so before exercising. Then you can have a decent meal after.....about an hr or so. Good luck!

30-60 min. Sometimes I'm eating on the way to the gym though!

A couple of hours minimum. I find I'm uncomfortable if I exercise any sooner. Good topic!

Thanks all. I personally can't exercise on empty. I don't put as much into it. But timeing wise I hate waiting 2 hours. I tend to wait 30 mnutes to an hour. I was just wondering what most people do. thanks again.

and cynthiaj777 I AGREE! He is the cutest baby boy dog in the world even if he is a bit bigger now. (he is 11 months old now.)

It just really depends on what workout I'll be doing.

If I'm going for a run, I usually eat 45 mins before and I'll have either 2 fig newtons, a banana, or granola bar.
