All green on every goal?

How interested are you in being below your goal for each item you're tracking? For example, I try to be just under my calorie goal by no more than 40, but I don't mind if I go over on my carbs or fat a bit (5-10g). What do you pay most attention to, or do you aim to be at or just below on all of them?

Just calories for now! My sodium is always, ALWAYS high....but I work best in little steps. First, get my eating under control. Then, add in exercise. Then, start concentrating on the little things within each, if that makes sense. Balancing out fats, protein, carbs. Lowering my sodium. Actually running a 5K. Then a 10K. Maybe a mini one day!

    If that makes sense :)

I try to be on or under on calories, under on fat, and on or over on protein and fiber! I think as long as you are on/under your calorie goal the rest is more of a personal preference!

Good luck on your wweightloss journey!
  • Once you get used to eating new and different things to stay under your calories, the intake of sodium, carbs and fat changes too. For a while though, I was just worried about my calories.

I try to be under my net calorie goal, but still eating >1800 / day gross. Apart from that, I try to be >100% for calcium and iron and I don't really pay much attention to macronutrients. As long as one of them isn't radically different to the others I'm happy.

I'm never green on every goal. I'm usually over on fiber, protein, and sodium lol. I still lost the weight.

I try to stay under my calories and sodium. I don't care too much about the carb/fat/protein balance thing--I kinda think it's bunk. I typically go over on my protein and fat, and am under on carbs.
  • I always stay under my calories with the exception of just one time. I try my hardest to stay under my sodium and my sugar ( I usually fail at sugar), don't really care about the other stuff.
