Benefits to Coconut Cream (Canned Stuff)

I'm seeing a lot of ice cream recipes that use coconut cream (let a can stand in the refrigerator so that the cream separates from the liquid). Most are saying using this is healthier than regular ice cream? Can anyone explain the benefits, if any?
