"Phantom Fat" & Adjusting to Weight Loss Advice

I was wondering if anyone has personal advice or links to articles (scholarly or otherwise) dealing with the topic of "Phantom Fat" or mentally adjusting after weight loss.

I know for myself, as well as others, it's a big adjustment losing 50+ lbs. and retraining your brain to think of yourself as being smaller. For me personally, I am having a hard time both in seeing myself as being "small" but also being satisfied with the work/progress I have made so far.

As I said, if you have personal anecdotes on what has worked for your or know of any websites/articles addressing this subject, please share!
