I had a miscarriage about 8 years ago that caused a surgical incision from my belly button down Since then I have had trouble trying to figure out how to tone up that area at the bottom of my abdomen. Can anyone suggest some exercises that will help? Thank you.

Toning the abs will require both a good nutrition plan and some resistance training. Because the body burns bodyfat where-ever it wants, unfortunately, it's impossible to really spot tone. But as bodyfat begins to dissipate in the mid-section, having some lean muscle there will give you a toned look.

Here are some ab/stomach workouts that I particularly like - that should get those ab muscles working:

    Hanging Leg Raises
    Crunches/Sit-Ups on Decline Bench
    Pallof Press
    Abwheels
    Side and Front Planks

One of the ways to really activate the abs is to get a good tight squeeze on the contraction of the ab muscles.

Good luck to you, hope this is of some help!

    Russian twists
    Air bikes
    Leg raises
    Hip raises
    Planks
    Scissor kicks

    Add some weights too!

Good luck. I'm here for ya and others if you need any help. Feel free to message me
