I am stuck in a plateau and need motivation

I worked really hard to lose my wt, but over the past 6 mos. I have been pateaued and even put on a few more lbs. I just can't seem to do it anymore, but I know that I truly need to lose this wt. for my health. I have been going through a lot of stressful situations right now and just find myself eating my emotions. I feel lost and don't know what to do. I know that I need to start over and relearn everything, but I just can't seem to find out where to begin. Please help me. :(

It's kind of intimidating giving advice to someone with your weight loss record. And my track record dealing with emotional overeating is mediocre at best. Seems like your post is a big restart. We both know that emotions are dealt with better if you: 1) talk to others, and 2) don't do any secret (hidden, unlogged, etc.) lonely eating. The hard part, of course, is acting out what we know.

I also get tuck in plateau situations where i will tain and lose the same 5 lbs over and over. I find the best thing to break the plateau is to really change it up and do something different. One of my latest things to break my plateau was to take a long nature hike. It had lots of ups and downs, and I was quite sore at the end of it, but it did the trick. Maybe lso change the foods you are eating, change the time of day when you eat certain types of foods like carbs. Try a few things and see what works. Good luck and don't give up!!
