so I eat 1300 cals a day I want to lose 1Lb a week I want to get down to size 10-12
I had pie and chips yesterday for dinner and pasta for lunch which I went over in the cals
but then I walked my dog for half a hour and cals went back up
Will I still lose weight if I eat what I like aslong as I stick to my cals and exercise daily eg walk my dog for one hour a day?

You will lose weight if you are eating fewer calories than your body needs. If you are eating back the calories entered from your dog walk, my advice would be to buy a heart rate monitor and check that you're actually burning the calories that Myfitnesspal suggests you have - the figure they give is an average. Most of my exercise is walking and Myfitnesspal over-estimates my calorie expenditure doing it by about a third...so you do need to be a little careful about that.
The only other thing I would say is whether your focus is just losing weight, or losing weight *and* being healthy. If pasta and pie and chips is representative of an average day's menu for you then you'll lose weight (if you're maintaining a calorie deficit) but you're unlikely to improve your health as that's a diet very heavy in refined carbs and with not a lot of veg in it.0 -
Good idea about a heart monitor at least I can see if I really do burn the cals,
I want to lose weight and be healthy
I try to eat good food like salad and veg
it doesn't help that are snowed in and cant get to the shops(over a 10 milewalk) so we are living out of the freezer
I did notice that I felt a lot better eating fresh food and not eating crisps and chocolate
the thought of eating crisps now make me feel sick no sure why????
maybe I should be a bit more cleaner in eating so I am healthy to that's the most important thing .
thanks x0
