Bicuits and Gravy..... Well, Sort of. lol!
On Sunday mornings I like to treat myself to what is usually an artery clogging treat, in a much healthier fashion.
I start by getting a box of " Jones Dairy Farm All natural Fully cooked turkey sausage then I get 2 cups of nonfat milk (if u have dairy issues I supopose you could try rice milk or almond milk but I have never tried it) and maybe 1-2 tablespoons of all purpose or whole wheat flour. I blend them in my food processor then pour it into a, well to be honest I know traditionally it goes in a sauce pan but I use a frying pan.. Use what you like I heat on medium to high heat and stir until it thickens ( about 3-5 min. maybe). This makes 2 servings ; one for me and one for my husband. I pour this delicious lowfat low sodium recipe over ezekiel bread ( I prefer low sodium ezekiel bread). The I add pepper to taste. Also this recipe is pretty low in salt so you can add salt to taste as well This breakfast usually ends up being between 3-4 hundred calories.. And I never feel guilty eating it!
