Anyone else "cheat eats" in front of their friends?

I limit my cheat meals to going out with friends. But when I am out, I will eat like before and not mention the calories.
I will try to estimate as to how much it was, work out extra on days before and after, eat light breakfast and lunch, and not mention any of it.
So people see me eating an 1,800 calorie meal in one dinner, as if it is a normal thing I do all the time, and I don't gain weight.
I am thinking now, is it sort of like lying? Why do I even like doing that?
