What do you use and recommend? Is there a "better" product made strictly for women? Or are the products made the same for both men and women?
My friend told me that he uses Met-Rx L-Glutamine Powder....is this something I can use?

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I use Glutamine powder as a recovery agent. I put it in my post workout shake/drink.
If you google glutamine you will discover;
"Glutamine is also marketed as a supplement used for muscle growth in weightlifting, bodybuilding, endurance, and other sports. Evidence indicates glutamine, when orally loaded, may increase plasma HGH levels by stimulating the anterior pituitary gland.[9] In biological research, L-glutamine is commonly added to the media in cell culture.[10] [11] However, the high level of glutamine in the culture media may inhibit other amino acid transport activities. BTW, I use Body Strong brand ... inexpensive.0
