abs/eating clean question

Ill try and make this quick. My abs are driving me crazy the bottom part! I have obliques and top parts. Ive obviously read on here mulitple times about not being able to spot reduce. And the only way to get abs is to lower body fat percentage (I honestly have no idea what my body fat percentage is right now) and to eat clean. okay my question is when people say eat clean does it mean literally only eat "clean foods" or does it mean just stay in your calore deficient? Im just curious as if staying in my calorie deficient is enough. Or if I should be cutting out my carbs. Thanks!

Eat at a caloric deficit and you will lower your body fat percentage. Weight training can do amazing things with shaping your abs and body in general, so if you aren't doing so try looking into a good weight training routine. ( A great staring routine in my opinions - http://stronglifts.com/ ) As far as clean eating goes, I know A LOT of people who follow IIFYM and have amazing abs. Here is a link on a good post about IIFYM.

    I agree with this.

'Eating clean' is a loose term around here. It varies from individual to individual.

  • Thanks for the responses. I currently run three days a week, Ive done mulitple half marathons and im starting to train for a full marathon. I do kickboxing, tabata and bootcamp each one day a week. Tabata and bootcamp classes involve some weight training and I do insanity somedays too. I just recently purchased the no rules for lifting and Im hoping that maybe if I do heavy lifting that will do something for the mom pooch. I had two children back to back with the youngest being 18 months. I hope that with hard work it will go away and that its not just loose extra skin that wont go away without surgery. Is there anyway to tell if its loose skin?
