Stay after it and make sure you measure in the same place each time...

... How much weight and how many inches are we talking? Are you measuring several places on your body or just your waist?

In the absence of further details, I would guess that you are losing lean body mass and retaining water.

You have fat EVERYWHERE. Inside, outside, under things, over things. It's everywhere; so sometimes you'll see the scale move, but won't see a change in your body. (Or notice it anyway).

I lost 26 pounds and some places half an inch others 1 inch. I try measuring the same places.

How often are you measuring? Measurable inches show up very slowly for me and I find it's best not to measure often. I've lost 10 lbs and only seen half an inch come of my waist and hips.

    So you ARE losing inches.

It's difficult to measure in the exact same place every time. The amount of tension you're applying to the tape measure will also vary.

Measure yourself once per month. Log your measurements using MFP's "Check-In" under the My Home tab. You can add or change body parts of other measures like hip-waist ratio.

    Exactly, you are losing inches.

Some people add all the inches they've lost and go by that. This is what people mean when they say "I lost 10 inches"--it's not just your waist or whatever.

If you want to get leaner rather than just lighter, ignore the scale, eat plenty of protein, and lift weights!

If you are losing some, that is wonderful! Be patient and it will come. Don't have unrealistic expectations and relish your accomplishments. Every little bit is a victory! I have a sign I use that says,
"You didn't put on the weight in a day. You won't take the weight off in a day'.
Be patient and be consistent and you will see your goal soon enough!
    Keep working your program!
    Hang in there!!!
