Hi, I'm new to this group. I am having trouble getting my 1000 calories a day and getting enough protein. I'm lactose and whey intolerant. And most of the powders taste awful.

Welcome! You should be aware, however, that most folks on MFP are anti- WLS and will insinuate that you are lazy for having had surgery to lose weight. I am not one of those. Congrats on having the courage to do what you needed to do to fix your health.0

I'm sensitive to milk protein and soy. I use Jay Robb Egg White protein. It smells good. I couldn't tell you how good it is in just water, but it is good in smoothies. Good luck!0

I would go to the groups section of the page and look for a weight loss surgery group.0

How far out from surgery are you?
Have you tried the (lots of) vegan protein powders out there? Can't promise you'll like the tastes any better, but they'd avoid your whey/lactose problem.0
