I recently started exercising again and I have been doing 2 miles on the treadmill at 3.2-.3.5mph 5-6 times a week... I also have restricted my calories by 500... will i lose weight just by walking or do i need to be doing other exercises as well?

Weight loss will be at least 80% your food intake, 10% genetics and 10% exercise. If you enjoy walking, keep doing it. You can mix it up by going faster, increasing incline etc but don't count on it for weight loss.

You can lose weight with "Just Walking", especially if you are Walking fast enough to elevate your heart rate and you are doing it for 10 minutes or more, and Increasing your Time/speed as you get more fit.
 But you might also be losing Muscle Mass, which will Lower your Metabolism, meaning you will have to eat LESS to maintain your Weight Loss.

:flowerforyou: AND, LIFTING Weight is FUN!! It builds Muscle, Increases your Metabolism, and helps you Burn Fat -- Lose Weight -- even when you are Sleepng!! AND you can Eat More!!
