I just noticed my Camelbak bottle on my Spinning bike had mold in the mouth-piece. How disgusting is that!!!????:noway:0

Water-just rinse and dry. Anything else-every time. I have metal bottles for hiking. I have a hard plastic shaker thingy for protein/milk. I do NOT put anything plastic in the dishwasher-makes it taste like dish soap. GAG!!!! The proper way is to wash, rinse in chlorine water (50ppm) and air dry. Kills/sanitizes and no nasty taste.
ETA-coffee cup-occasionally- if it is not in use long enough ;-)0 -
Every other day typically. I have 3 that I rotate through.0

everyday, long time ago I watched a news broadcast about folks not washing their water bottles daily it was gross...cause the saliva would/could get caught in the creveses~ eww~ mostly the store bought bottles that folks were refilling and not cleaning in between uses0

Oh dear, I just noticed how that can be misconstrued. :devil:0 -
I only use water in mine and give it a rinse every time I use it. But I was away from it for a week, it was 'abandoned' on the kitchen bench for a week. When I opened it up on return it smelt bad. Warm climate though, make a bit of a difference, I guess0

I rinse it before using it.0
