I ran into this issue after eating from an Indian restaurant. I just did some Googling and came across this that might help a bit: http://www.nutracheck.co.uk/calories/calories_in_takeaways/calories_in_indian_takeaway.html

Start weighing/ measuring the ingredients and start building your own recipes of things you eat regularly.

The spices aren't that important, but the main ingredients are-- protein, ghee, flour, veggies, oils, bread, etc.

If you are making your own food, just put in the ingredients!

I have never had a problem finding a wide variety of Indian dishes in the database, though!

I am Indo-Trinidadian and cook everything from scratch. Just put it in as a recipe. I have my curry chicken, chana, dosti roti....literally everything in my recipes  you should've seen the look on my mum's face when I told her that her sada roti was 185 calories per serving

click on food, then go to the tab at the top of the page that says recipes, click on that, then click add recipe...easy peasy :drinker:

My husband is Indian so we eat it quite often. There are quite a few dishes on mfp but um sure there's a million variations. Usually when we eat Indian I make a good estimate.
