It was business as usual down the boxing gym, I was getting my gloves on ready to do my thing when in walks in Miguel. Just to give you a little background Miguel is originally of Brazillian origin but grew up France and is here to learn English for 2 weeks, therefore communication was limited at best. Anyway being a newbie and looking somewhat lost I decide to pair up with him... Boy was that a bad move!
From the beginning he seemed hyperactive jumping up & down, tapping himself on the head etc... I thought whatever, anyway the music starts and it's time to get into the drills, and no joke this guy was legit the quickest and most physically fit person I had ever met. (In terms of stamina, endurance, speed and agility this guy had it all). He was banging out the press ups, burpees and everything all the time shouting at me in French lol. On the pads I was struggling to keep up with his speed. Half an hour into the session I had to call time and bring the instructor in whilst I got a bit of a 'break' punching the heavy bags, however after 15 minutes I saw the instructor almost breaking a sweat.
After the session I had a chat with Miguel who told me that he's a boxing instructor in France!!! And he was impressed I lasted so long with him lol. He's offered to put me through my paces if I teach him some English... I'm thinking of going back for more however right now i'm in absolute agony now at work with DOMS like i've never experienced in my life.
