I am looking for a heart rate monitor that recharges the chest strap and has some sort of data analysis and tells me calories burned.

The Polar HRMs I've had featured batteries that lasted a long time. I used to have trouble getting them replaced, but I hear that's changed. The more sophisticated models had computer uplinks that generated reports. That may be standard now.
Although the HRM is a great device to see how hard your heart is working during cardio, you can't take the calorie estimates as gospel. You have to use your judgment and see whether your diet and exercise program are creating a sufficient deficit for you to gain weight.0 -
Any heart rate strap should last a year or two on a battery.
Garmin watches recharge via USB and log HR and usually GPS position.0
