The Belly Fat Cure Diet

Has anyone read this book? I got it from the library last night and started reading it. It says you can do this just for a few weeks just to help you lean out. I will be having foot surgery next Friday and won't be able to workout like I normally do. I was thinking of doing this just during my down time until I can get back to regular exercise. What are your thoughts if you have done this?

You cannot target weight loss. We all lose weight differently based on our genetics. Some lose it on the belly first, some last.

No diet is going to change that.

Do yourself a favor and throw out every diet book you've ever bought. They're written so that they sell. And they're all written with claims that there is some secret or magic bullet to weight loss. There's isn't. Eat a balanced diet, eat less than your body burns, get sufficient protein and good fats, strength train, and you will lose the body fat.

I wish there was a magic diet to losing belly fat, as bostonwolf pointed out, weight falls off everyone differently. I've got the "luck" of losing (and gaining) belly fat much more readily than anywhere else and I'm reasonably sure it's genetics as I look quite a bit like my grandfather in body/fat stylings. As I've been training in the past 6-7 weeks, I seem to lose weight in a balance approach, like 65% of me looks in pretty good shape and the rest still is pudgy. Hard work, eating appropriately and perseverance creates success!
