Your calorie intake will play at least 80% of the role in your weight loss. Do what exercise you can but focus on watching those calories. Unfortunately as we get older we need less and less food to function.

    Hi,

I was recently diagnosed with a-fib, (2 days ago) ....so.....not sure how that is going to impact my weight loss or exercise. Im 58 and so far, I have lost 21 lbs. But, again, this is pre a-fib. So far, what has worked is logging everything that goes in to my mouth, even, when I dont want to. (like yesterday) Im pretty sure that will stay the same, as pre-afib. I had already lowered the MFP preset sodium value from 2500 to 2300, which is what experts are saying is a good all around figure. I do go over, sometimes, but, usually I am way under, even, pre a-fib. I have been exercising, at least 1/2 hr every day, thats the part, Im not sure, what is going to change. Next part is,,,I eat, at least 1450 cals , most days more, rarely less. I eat back some of my exercise cals. Lastly, I have a few "friends" (not 100's, then I wouldnt have time for everyone) and we support one another.

Again,,,all of this is pre a-fib, since, they have me on beta blockers, thats going to lower my heart rate, not sure how thats going to impact a lot of stuff.

Anyway, please feel free to friend me, if you wish to..... we can support one another through this crazy journey,
