Okay, now I want a sweet potato.
I hear ya. Oven is going on right now.0 -
in what world could a sweet potato be evil?
sweet potatoes are crazy good for you, just be sensible about how you prepare them. personally i make homemade sweet potato fries in bacon fat and covered with spices/cinnamon.
delish.0 -
Even if the glycemic index wasn't a terribly outdated, flawed concept (which it is since nobody fasts for 12 hours then eats only a carbohydrate), why would the sweet potato be a problem?0

I eat sweet potatoes in almost everything that you would eat a regular potato, including mashed with garlic and salt. Yum!0

Sometime you piss me off...but that's just awesome!0 -
Delicious cubed and roasted, or just baked. I prefer mine with a healthy portion of (Kerrygold) butter.

So don't do it.
I mean it. I'm watching you.)0 -

I presume you're an intermittent faster, in which case if you don't eat meals which consist of protein, carbs, fat and fibre then you're a special case indeed.0 -
Microwaved with a dollop of Neufchatel cheese on top: fast food. And delicious.0

My son says sweet potatoes are the potatoes that come to the party even when they aren't invited. I think they're okay, but only with spicy or savory stuff to offset some of the sweetness.0

I often have them, but actually find them much less filling than baked white potato, which can keep me full for up to five hours with a healthy topping. Sweet potatoes seem to leave me much hungrier. Very nutritious though, the Okinawans, who had the largest percentage of centenarians at one point, ate a lot of sweet potatoes in their fairly high carbohydrate diet.0
