    Bully and bullying.

Except in discussion about actual, real bullying.

If feelings are hurt than they've been bullied.

A kid I work with used "clutch" the other day. Apparently, it means cool/sweet/awesome I'm not sure which because I was too bust trying to figure out when "clutch" became a word people used outside of car conversations.

"same difference" and "Just Sayin'" ("same difference" is my own personal grammatical pet peeve BUT if I have to hear "just sayin'" ONE more time I'm gonna take some knitting needles to my ear drums :grumble: )

Please don't use nice knitting needles, that would be a tragic mess and a pain to try to destash.

I completely disagree with this statement, and I think it's part of the reason the word bully and bullying get misused so much (and take some of the power and seriousness away from actual bullying).

If feelings are hurt, then that means feelings are hurt. Sometimes it is a result of bullying. Sometimes it is a result of something else. Feelings getting hurt does not necessarily mean bullying happened.

    Bullied or bullying
    Offended
    PC

Give it a rest, just because someone doesn't agree with you, and you get all butt hurt about it, does NOT make it bullying .....
Or if you happen to get "offended", that is not getting bullied either .....
And I do not have to be PC, just so you don't feel Offended, bullied or butt hurt .....

Starting off an argument with " I must respectfully disagree..." and then act like a jerk.

and the word " Actually" and " Basically" in India...it is used in almost every sentence:noway:

it's like using rhinoplasty for "nose job".

it's obviously derived from a Greek root meaning "nose", but it just seems kind of cruel because we all think "rhinoceros nose" when somebody talks about getting a rhinoplasty.

    "It is what it is"

Thanks for the insight. I was almost confused and thought that it is something that it's not, but now I get it.

especially when used as an excuse to not put forth an effort to change "it".
