Samoyed Puppies Question

I have a 3 month old Samoyed puppy. She is a good girl but for the last 3 - 4 days starting early aftrnoon until bed time she has become extremely restless. She can't keep still! She is breathing heavily even though she has access to water all day. she just can't seem to keep still. There are steps between my family room and kitchen and instead of taking the stairs she squeezes through the railing back and forth back and forth!! I was wondering if she is overheating because of the her constant panting when she is in this restless state but the weather is still cold and she has full access to cold water all day.

She is eating normal and when we put her in the crate at night she is quiet and sleeps throughout until next morning. Is this normal Samoyed puppy behavior?

I have a 4yr old Shih Tzu and she was nothing like that as a puppy so I am wondering what's going on?

I would call your vet and see what they think.

Call your vet. She could be in pain, could've eaten something, or might simply need to be exercised. But if this behavior is new and continues, I'd call the vet, could be something serious, could be nothing...but better to be safe than sorry.

I'd call the vet, just to be on the safe side. It's probably nothing...puppies go through strange phases just like kids.
    Good Luck!

    take her for a checkup.

    ...could it be food related?
  • Call your vet. She may have eaten something and it's disagreeing with her.

I took Mikko to the vet and she had a shunt. A shunt is when instead of the blood going to her liver to remove toxins it went through a blood vessel straight to her brain. We had to put her down Thursday. We only had her for one month and it was very heart breaking to say goodbye.

The breeder gave us another puppy we named her Mila. She is behaving a lot more normal than the other puppy. I pray she is a healthy dog. I've never expericenced the death of a pet before and I have a 4 yr old Shih Tzu (Marley) that I've had since she was a puppy.

RIP Mikko baby girl!!!!:heart: :smooched: :smooched:
