Will I be able to lose 2lbs a week?

My starting weight is 226 and I want to lose at least 60lbs (165lbs). Is it possible to lose 2 lbs a week until I reach 180lbs and then slow down to .5 - 1 lb a week?

    It's possible. Just make sure you're eating enough (and of the right stuff) and don't skip out on the exercise! I'm loosing about 1.5 pounds - 2 pounds a week.

    Yes. I've been at it 7 weeks and 2 days and I've lost 15 lbs, close to 16. That's 2 lbs a week. It's possible, but not easy cheesy. I have had to make sure I make my calories count, and by that I mean eat good for me things, not many empty calories. And I've been exercising 5-6-7 days a week.
