Protein

This is my first week- and I've been having a hard time with the protein thing. Doing well with calories but I've been going over the protein and am not sure how to fix that... it's mostly lean protein (greek yogurt, chicken, etc.) and isn't that a good thing? Any thoughts, suggestions?

Don't worry about it, so long as you get adequate protein and fats let the rest fall where they fall0

I think MFP protein levels are too low. You are fine I'm sure!0

For the majority of obese or overweight individuals eating at a calorie deficit, MFP's default protein percentage is too low.
The US RDA and the World Health Organization's recommendation for protein is 0.8g protein per kilogram of body weight. You should aim for getting that amount at a minimum.
Some recommend an even higher protein intake, but you should do your own research to determine what amount of protein you would ultimately like to settle on.
For now, though, try to get at least the RDA, if you can. (You can change the default percentages by going to the "My Home" tab, clicking "Goals" and then "Custom Goals").0
