My NSV!

Yesterday I ran 5 miles in just under 55 minutes!

I ran my first ever mile about a year and a half ago. A month or two ago I hit my goal of a 10 minute mile for the first time. The first time I ran 3 miles I felt like I had had a break through... I can't believe that this chubby asthmatic girl is running at all, much less running so far.

I always knew that I could eventually get back down to my goal weight, but I NEVER thought that I would become a runner :)

I'm running out of excuses to not sign up for a 5k!!

Great job! Sign up for a 5k! I signed up for my first 5k in May and can run about 1 1/2 on a good day. Hopefully I can get up to 3.1 by May! Keep up the good work!

Congratulations! I'm in the same boat, I started about a year ago and never thought I'd enjoy running either.

Thanks everyone! There is a mini marathon called The Common Mans Marathon in August...it's 2.62 miles and I think it might be a good intro to the racing world. I look at the website constantly but haven't registered yet.
