Walnut butter

So, I made walnut butter (walnuts & honey & salt). Delicious. And walnuts are so good for you. BUT: Generic - Walnut Butter W/ Honey, 1 tbsp = 370 calories, 8 grams of carbs and 36 grams of fat.
Ummm... It tastes great, but how is that worth it?
Unless my wife objects, I am throwing it all away.

I can't imagine that walnut butter has about 4 times the calories than peanut butter, the main part of both is nuts after all.
On the page below you can see the nutritional facts of different nut butters. Walnut butter is listed as 200 calories for 2 Tbsp/32gr.

Thank you, Dee_84. I was so disappointed!0

Walnuts do have more fat than peanuts...you will find much variation in fat among nut butters (pecans are high, while almond butter and seed butter tends to be quite low) HOWEVER, they are SO worth it! If you are trading in saturated fats and unhealthy fat sources for nuts and nut butter, your body will thank you! Walnuts, while high in fat, are great sources of MUFA's and PUFA's and omega-3's.
So don't throw away your walnut butter! I actually lose weight when I incorporate nuts into my daily diet, many health benefits!0
