I was wondering if anyone had tips on how to avoid pulling your shoulder muscles while exercising? I somehow managed to pull the same muscle three times last year just doing regular activities and it was terrible. I'm trying to get into some youtube exercise videos in my kitchen and every time they want me to flail my arms around in a zumba video it makes me nervous about reinjuring myself.

What is the move that hurts you?
I have a rotator cuff issue and I can always feel it if I'm about to over exert the shoulder. Sometimes I get a lot of warning, sometimes it will be done with the next move I make. When I feel that slight twinge in my muscle, I immediately stop and let it stretch out and heal itself before doing anything else that could strain it. If I'm in the middle of class, I will just continue with my left arm and maybe take the weight off the right arm if it can still be moved.0
