I have the book and CD from my local library. The book is very simple to understand and makes complete sense....I know for myself the one rule that I break....I eat way too fast. I am trying to consciously slow down, enjoying the taste of the food, and not taking another bite until I have completely finished the last...it is really quite a task. I have just started listening to the CD but it requires 30 minutes where you can either lay down or sit quietly and absorb what he is saying to do (hypnotize???) I will do that tonight when I go to bed (maybe during EARTH HOUR between 8 and 9 tonight when you turn out your lights)

oops, left my lights on. I'll turn them out when I go to bed......

The "slow-down" technique McKenna uses is "Eat Consciously," as in NOT mindlessly. Pay attention to each bite. ONLY eat when you eat - don't watch TV or read, or work, or be on mfp..........

    oops, again.
