Cooking with Coconut flour

Does anyone have any experience or advice to give about cooking with coconut flour? I want to fry things with some breading but I wanted to know if coconut flour is a viable grain free alternative.

Also, recipes with coconut flour as a substitute would be great if anybody has any. Thanks!

Coconut flour soaks up a ton of moisture, so you only need to use a very little bit of it when baking. There are lots of recipes on Pinterest if you are on there.

And we coat/fry things once in awhile. I really like the taste, but it does have a differnt texture. Its not bad though.

    ^This.

You'll find you'll need at least 1.5 the amount of moisture-like things when baking, ie, eggs, butter, etc. A 1/4 cup of coconut flour = four eggs to bake properly.

It also sticks like a brick in your stomach. Horribly filling. So far, all I've made from it is pancakes, pizza and brownies. It's the only flour I bake with on the rare occasion I bake.

Sounds perfect for me then. I rarely bake but I DO like to dredge meats in something to fry them in. Thanks for the tips you guys!
