HI, in my opinion and thats only mine, I think meats and eggs are an awesome way to loose weight, my diet only consists of fats and proteins and very lil carbs and ive lost 4kg since starting on friday without using the gym. Sometimes i eat 1,700 calories a day but it seems to be ok as long as those carbs are only used through greEn vegetables. Worry about your measurements more so then your calorie intake when concerning protein. After all is only maintaining muscle mass AND helping burn fat. :)

This is part of the discussion of the "Hummm.......help" thread also under the food and nutrition page. So, you might want to check that out. I am always over on my protein as well.

    Dragonfly,

I too go over my protein but does not affect my weight loss so no worries.

If I am going to be over on a macro, I want it to be protein. It's only a problem for people with kidney disease.

@dragonfly183 How much protein do you eat? I looked at your diary but there's only an entry for today as far as I can see and protein is set for 60g, so just wondered how much over that you go.

Psst... original post is from 2007. I'd be surprised if the OP is still looking for an answer.
