Dealing with nightmares
Since I was about 4, I would have these regular nightmares involving people close to me, particularly my dad, being violently killed. When I was 10, I started staying up late so I'm too tired to dream, but this isn't really a good method as I now have insomnia . They're more infrequent now but they're still there. People have given me herbal remedies which definitely didn't work & I've tried meditation, but they keep on coming.
Does anyone get bad nightmares & know how to stop them?

I used to have recurring nightmares about my dad killing us. I had a friend help me. He told me to close my eyes and envision the dream. Then he told me to reach up with one or both hands, and make like I was pulling the dream out of my head, he said to envision the dream coming out as I pulled, then he said to crumple the dream up like a piece of paper and throw it in the trash. I never had the dream again.0
