Now what should I be doing?

A few weeks ago I posted about suddenly having dizziness and headaches after exercise and even throughout the day.(I have been to the Dr. since). At that time some of you suggested that I increase my calorie intake and I did from 1440 to 1570 and I did drop about 2lbs at first but it keeps going back up to between 187.2 and 187.8. Why does it keep going back to that number? I'm thinking of going back to 1440 even though I like having the extra 130 to eat.

Try just eating your budget and not your exercise.

Did the doc do blood work? Make sure you are getting enough Calcium and vitamin D, and B vitamins.

I also get dizzy when not drinking enough fluid. That said, you should give any change in calorie level at least 4-6 weeks before adjusting again. Give it time. Sometimes it's worth feeling better than losing faster. In fact, you didn't even mention if you still got dizzy spells. I'm assuming they went away? Is it worth feeling like crap just to lose the weight a little faster?

This is bad advice.... There is such thing as too large a deficit, and MFP is set up so that you already have a deficit before exercise, which is why you are supposed to eat those calories back.

Unless they meant TDEE but that only puts me at 1600 which is only 30 calories more than what I'm eating now.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that it was fine. I will edit my op.

I guess I can't edit my OP. But yes, dizzy spells have gone away for now and one of my medications was adjusted and blood work was fine.

How does the timing relate to your monthly "cycle"? It could just be fluid retention. If you have a lot to lose, I have a hard time believing the calories are too high. I would suggest staying the course for a couple of weeks and seeing what happens.

Well, I'm on a birth control that doesn't allow a normal monthly cycle so I'm not sure about water retention?

It's horrible advice.. you still have weight to lose according to your goal which I would assume means that you still need to be eating more than 1500 cals a day.

You could be just retaining water as well. I am not on birth control and my cycles are erratic, two months in a row I will get my period on time, next month like this one, I'm still waiting for it to happen. If it's not related to your TOM, check your sodium intake. You still need sodium in your body but any excess just gets retained as water in your body.
